A lover should make you feel Safe

A cool summers breeze

blows through my hair.

A crow coos in the distance

The foliage crunches beneath my feet

as I saunter towards my destination.

Standing

on the ledge.

Peering over the cliff;

ready

wanting

to jump.

Always alone

never having anyone

to care for me.

Closer now to the edge

teetering

leaning

falling.

Your hand reaches out

catching my lonely soul

pulling me back.

I turn towards my savior

taken back by

her beauty

her grace

nothing short of angelic.

She took me into her arms

soothing

comforting

saving

Me.

Her warmth stirs feelings in me

Never before have I felt this

Never before have I felt

Safe.
